Swachhta Pakhwada - 2017 is being observed in NIC and on behalf of it a session on Green Protocol organised by NIC Kerala on 01/08/2017.
Pledge has been administered by all the employees over VC together with NIC HQ. Clean Mission Posters were put up to create awareness.

Swachh Bharat Mission
Mahatma Gandhi Said "Sanitation is more important than independence". He
made cleanliness and sanitation an integral Part of the Gandhian way of living.
His dream was total sanitation for all. The concept of Swachh Bharat is to pave
access for every person to sanitation facilities including toilets, solid and liquid
waste disposal systems, village cleanliness and safe and adequate drinking water
supply. We have to achieve this by 2019 as a befitting tribute to Father of the
Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary.
- Cleaning individual officers’ workspaces including ICT infrastructure allocated
to the employees.
- Cleaning Network Operating Centre/VC Room and its associated infrastructure.
- Cleaning and sorting office files/ Project Artifacts and weeding of unnecessary
items.
- Green initiatives as well as efforts to provide clean air and portable water.
- Cleaning and sanitizing office premises and waste management initiatives.
- Collaboration and coordination with Public Authorities and/or Universities/Colleges
around Kochi to propagate Clean India Mission.
- Conducting Awareness Programmes and Sanitation drives.
- Dedication of a web page Under SDTC website exclusively for ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’
and ‘Swachh Karyaalay Abhiyaan’.
